Ride to Work Day, the annual event that aims to encourage a shift towards powered two wheel commuting takes place on 20 June. This year, the organisers at Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) are encouraging record-breaking numbers of motorcyclists to participate.

Promoting motorcycling as a key part of a sustainable transport future, the newly updated Ride to Work website highlights the social, economic and environmental benefits in a world currently dominated by the car.

Over single-occupancy car journeys, a commute by motorcycle reduces congestion and carbon emissions, improving air quality in urban areas.

Supporters can spread the word using MAG’s resources to communicate the key messages on social media and work place noticeboards.

A new guide for employers has been made available to help businesses recognise their role in supporting riding to work.
