Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council (NPTCBC) offer a range of free-of-charge motorcycling initiatives to its residents and those using roads within the local authority for work or social purposes.
The schemes, which are subsidised through Welsh Government funding, aim to contribute to a reduction in the number of motorcyclist casualties in Wales.
Dragon Rider Cymru
Dragon Rider Cymru is an initiative aligned to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency and delivered by DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme trainers.
The one-day course is held on a weekend and consists of a morning classroom-based session that takes place at a designated Fire Station within Neath Port Talbot. The afternoon session is road-based, using a variety of roads to meet the training needs of the individual rider.
Courses run monthly throughout the year and remaining dates for 2018 are:

First Bike on Scene (FBoS)
For those looking for a motorcycling first aid course, NPTCBC offers First Bike on Scene (FBoS).
The one-day course, held at weekends at a designated Fire Station takes place in a classroom environment and attendees do not require a motorcycle to participate. FBOS is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to deal with the initial management of a casualty involved in a road traffic collision or any incident where injury is sustained.
